Blessed is the person who is connected strongly, spiritually, heart-to-heart with another, be it friend or lover. Such connection, indeed, is a taste of Heaven-Here-Now. Such Connection is a means of Grace, an opening to the Universal, in the particularity of two in One Heart-Embrace.

Religious faith is not an excuse for close-mindedness. There is nothing noble about saying, "Well, just believe, even if you don't understand." We should never "just believe" anything.
The rationale that one cannot understand Mysteries does not justify espousing and teaching what is not beyond-logical, but is before-logical. Indeed, many religious teachings are not only infantile, they are harmful and divisive.
Rather, deep faith opens the Mind and Heart. The person who truly has spiritual faith, without attachment to group, teacher, or teaching, can welcome an ever-increasing embrace of the Truth.
A statement by an educator helped change my life, many years ago when I was moving away from earlier religious teachings I had been given. He contended that persons of faith are not to fear any truth, for he said, "All truth is God's truth." We could, equally say, "All truth is of Truth."
Many persons now say it does not matter what a person believes, and we should respect such diversity. That is not merely diversity, that is a lack of respect for healthy diversity - which can only be based on Truth. Those same persons do not respect fundamentalism, and they, therefore, contradict their own advice.
Rather than, first, respecting what other persons believe, you are, first, to respect the Truth. I am not to support thought and action that is in violation of Truth.
Finally, one could ask, "Why is it so important to be open-minded?" One cannot live open-hearted without living open-minded.

You have a longing, sometimes resting, sometimes at unrest, to return fully into the Spirit you are part of, and Are. All your yearning in this world is, finally, an ache for the Realization of Oneness with All. This is LOVE.
